Kindergartners are Brave!

We are counting down the days until school starts and mom is an "empty Nester." James' isn't so excited about kindergarten. So each day I have been making some comment about him going to kindergarten. As I was kissing him last night I said, "Love you my little kindergartner!" And he says to me, "Mom, I can't be a kindergartner. Kindergartners are brave and I'm not brave." LOL! I can't wait for the first day of school.

Oh so cute! I guess I didn't realize that James and Caleb are the same year in school. Caleb went to two preschools last year (both were held in the elementary school--right next door to the kindergarten class), so he is as excited as I am for school to start :o)

Have you ever read the children's book, "The Kissing Hand"? It's about a racoon who is nervous about his first day of school, and how his Mom "makes it better". I know we have the book somewhere, but it's been so long since I've read it, that I can't remember the whole plot. Maybe it would help.
